A sustainable approach is vital while conducting scientific research and technology development in the current era of rapid urbanization and technology development. People and environmental conservation often come into conflict with regard to their perspectives and hence it is essential to create platforms for science and technology enthusiasts to conduct research incorporating multiple views on sustainability. Here, at Environment and People: A Centre for Scientific Research and Innovation, we envision establishing such a research platform by conducting multidisciplinary scientific research, technology development, community engagement, imparting education, and environmental conservation.
